BIBURY-1024-BODY-2.jpeg

Bibury Trout Farm

Founded in 1902, Bibury Trout Farm is England's oldest working trout farm set in the historic village of Bibury, in the heart of the Cotswolds.  A perfect day out for all ages - explore their beautiful grounds (and wildlife!), catch a fish, hire a barbecue, have a round of Crazy Golf, or just relax in the cafe and sample their seasonal menu.

Visitors can learn about the Rainbow and Brown Trout while you wander in the beautiful surroundings.  You may well see grading in progress when the fish are selected for size and quality before being transported to new homes in oxygenated water in specially made fiberglass tanks.  Feeding is done daily by staff and the water comes to life as the fish vie for the last morsel. Information boards give a insight to what goes on in the hatchery and fryary areas and staff will be delighted to answer any question you may have.

Theater Lights

New Theatre

There has been a theatre on George Street for almost 185 years. The first theatre was built in 1836, and a second in 1886. In 1908, the Dorrill family took over the venue and finally in 1934, the third Theatre opened; the ‘New Theatre’.

Stanley Dorrill masterminded the rebuilding of the theatre as we know it today. He commissioned a new building from the well-known theatre architects William and T.R. Milburn of Sunderland. The Milburns developed the decadent art-deco interior with T.P Bennett and Sons, who also designed the Saville Theatre in London.
